game can be viewed on the internet at: www.mascac.tv. In addition, the
Owl Club is hosting a hospitality tent for parents, alumni, and Owl Club 
members at Saturday’s MASCAC Championships at Westfield State.  
Join us under the tent next to the bleachers on Alumni Field for 
complimentary snacks and beverages as we cheer on the Owls in the 
volleyball, and men’s and women’s soccer championships.  The heated
tent will be open from 12:30 p.m. through halftime of the women’s soccer

NEFC weekly honor roll

Westfield State punter Chris Stengel was selected co-defensive player of the week in the 16-team New England Football Conference.

The junior from Forest Hill, Maryland, had a sensational day in Westfield's 32-16 victory over Fitchburg, punting 10 times for a 45.5 yard average. Six of his punts were inside the 20, four traveled 50 or more yards, one was a touchback (which was nearly downed inside the 1) and two were fair catches.

In addition, Stengel kicked off five times, averaging 56.8 yards, with two of his kickoffs (72 and 73 yards in the air) going into the end zone. Finally, he made 3-of-4 PATs and a field goal.

NORTH ADAMS - The Westfield State women's soccer team captured the Massachusetts State College Athletics Conference regular season championship by defeating rival MCLA, 2-1, on Saturday, Oct. 31.

The Owls completed the regular season with a 14-1-2 overall record and a 6-0-1 MASCAC mark. MCLA is 13-4 and 5-2. Westfield will host No. 4 seed Bridgewater in the MASCAC tournament semifinals on Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 7:00 p.m.
