WILLIAMSTOWN - The Westfield State men's golf team placed first in the four-team MCLA Invitational at Waubeeka Country Club on Thursday, Sept. 24.
The Owls won by 10 strokes over the host Trailblazers, 323-333. Also competing were SUNY Cobleskill and Elms.
Westfield junior Brett Williamson (Ludlow) was the low medalist with a 76, followed by sophomore Dan Korpita (Southampton), who shot a 77.
Sophomore Ryan Donovan (Franklin) finished with an 82. Also competing for the Owls were Derek Robichaud (88) and Brian Nixon (94), both freshmen from Foxboro.
