WESTFIELD, Mass. – Senior forward Casey Mignone tallied two goals and two assists and sophomore forward Jimmy Alexander had a goal and three assists to lead Westfield State to a 7-3 conference victory over UMass Dartmouth on Tuesday, Jan. 12.

Westfield improves to 7-4-2 overall and 5-0-2 in the MASCAC. UMass Dartmouth drops to 5-6-1 and 1-5-1. The teams played to a 2-2 tie in their first meeting Nov. 19.

The Owls again received a balanced attack with six players scoring. They jumped out to a 3-0 first-period lead on goals by Lucas Romero, Dennis Zak and Jimmy Alexander. Mignone assisted on two first-period goals and lit the lamp twice in the second period. Westfield led 6-2 after two stanzas took a 7-2 lead 1:50 into the third period.
