Annually, Westfield State University honors its high-performing student-athletes with the Athletic Director's 3.0 Ceremony and Reception.
The reception is held early in the spring semester in conjunction with a sporting event (Mark your calendar for Wed. Feb. 6, 2018!), as each Owls student athlete who received a 3.0 or higher grade point average (either cumulative, or in the fall semester) is recognized at the game, with the University President and other dignitaries in attendance.
Each student athlete receives a small gift, and a reception with food and drink follows the ceremony.
Annually, more than 60 percent of Westfield State's student-athletes acheive a GPA of 3.0 or above, as Owls student athletes are both highly competitve on the field of play and in the classroom.
Student athletes receive an invitation in their e-mail recognizing that they will be a part of the event.
Come out and cheer the Owls on and recognize the great work out athletes are doing academically as well.
