WESTFIELD, Mass. – Longtime Westfield State University women's soccer coach Todd Ditmar will be the Guest of Honor at the 2019 Owl Club Golf Tournament.
The 13th Annual Owl Club Golf Tournament is a key fundraiser for the Westfield State University Athletic Department, and annually nets more than $20,000 to enhance support of the Owls' successful varsity athletic teams. Westfield Bank is the lead sponsor of the tournament.
Registration is now open for thetournament, which will be played Monday, August 5 at the Ranch Golf Club in Southwick, Mass. The tournament is a scramble format, with a noon shotgun start. Lunch precedes the round and a buffet awards dinner follows.
Now in his 15th season at Westfield State, Ditmar has transformed the Owls' women's soccer team into a perennial contender for the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic conference title, and a regional powerhouse which has qualified for the NCAA Tournament in each of the last two seasons, and seven times in the last 11 years.
A full-time staff member at Westfield, he also manages the University's club sports programs. Ditmar has posted a coaching record of 140-86-22 at Westfield and has a career collegiate record of 254-172-29 in 27 seasons at Bay Path and Westfield.
Among the Owls' many stellar seasons under Ditmar's guidance, the 2012 club posted an unbeaten regular season before falling in the NCAA Tournament and finishing with an 18-1-1 mark to set several school records.
