The Owls celebrate the 2018 MASCAC Tournament title.

Westfield State University is receiving votes in the recently-released Collegiate Baseball Magazine pre-season poll.

The Owls finished the 2018 season with a 24-18-1 overall record, and won the MASCAC regular-season and postseason tournament titles.   The Owls finished 10-4 in MASCAC play.   Along the way, Westfield posted a win over then-No. 1- UMass Boston, and made their 10th appearance in the NCAA Tournament, but the first since 2010.

The Owls return plenty of talent for 2019, led by MASCAC Player of the Year Anthony Crowley, and MASCAC Pitcher of the Year John Gegetskas.  Both players also earned All-New England honors from several organizations.

Westfield State will open the 2019 campaign under sixth-year head coach Nathan Bashaw on Saturday, March 2 with a doubleheader scheduled at Springfield College.  The Owls will make their annual pilgrimmage to Florida on March 9 through 16, playing seven games in the Winter Haven area.
