Rogers Named to D3hoops.com All-Region Team
Rogers was selected to the second team in Region I
WESTFIELD, Mass. – Westfield State University sophomore Kenney Rogers (Springfield, Mass./Springfield International Charter) was named the to the D3hoops.com All-Region team for the second straight year, the media outlet reported on Monday.
Rogers was selected to the second team in Region I after a season where he averaged 20.1 points per game, grabbed eight rebounds, handed out 4.6 assists and snared 1.7 steals per game.
He was named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Year for the second straight season.
Rogers is also making his second straight appearance on the D3hoops.com All-Region Team. He was named to the third team in the 2024-25 season, when he was also selected as the regional rookie of the year.
Rogers had a standout sophomore season, going over the 1,000-career point mark late in the year, and scoring a school-record 52 points in a win over Bridgewater State on February 14 – breaking a record that had stood for 57 years.
He led the Owls to a 21-6 overall record and 12-2 mark in conference play that earned the Owls the MASCAC regular season title. Westfield lost a heartbreaker in the conference championship game, 73-71 to Worcester State, where Rogers finished with 24 points and five rebounds in 35 minutes of play while battling an illness.
Players chosen to the D3hoops.com All-Region team are eligible for All-America selection.
This is the 25th year D3hoops.com has named an All-Region team and this year's All-America team will be the 29th annual All-America selections. The D3hoops.com All-American teams, along with those of the respective coaches' associations, are the only ones recognized in the NCAA record book.
