Emile Pichette scored a pair of goals and linemate Cooper Board dished out a pair of assists as the Owls opened MASCAC ice hockey conference play with a 6-3 win over Framinghams State.
The Owls got on the board first just 36 seconds into the game when Emile Pichette found the back of the net with the rebound of a Board shot.
The Rams tied the score midway through the first on a goal from Anthony Venezia off feeds from Robert Bernier and Jake Barcelou, but the Owls reclaimed the lead for good with a goal from Nicolas Coppola in the closing minutes of the first.
The Owls opened the second frame with goals from Brett Williams and Emile Pichette before David Hassell tallied for the Rams. Michael Kennedy and Grig Kaangan assisted on the tally cutting the deficit to 4-2.
Westfield State closed the second and opened the third with goals from Louis Oullett and Jesper Seeberg, extending the lead to 6-2.
Luke Yabeta added a goal for the Rams in the closing minute to reach the final margin.
Owen Swanbon took the loss in net for the Rams and made 37 saves, while Owls netminder Aidan Winslow made 24 stops in the victory.
