Krupcyznski Earns MASCAC Rookie of the Week Honors
Liam earns conference rookie of the week honors for the second time this season.
WESTFIELD, Mass. – For the second time this season, first-year forward Liam Krupcyznski (San Marcos, Calif.) was named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference's Co-Rookie of the Week for his efforts in last week's game against Assumption.
Krupcyznski tallied twice in the Owls 5-4 victory against the Greyhounds, scoring the opening goal of the game, then finding the game-tying marker midway through the third period. He got the scoring started just 2:30 into the game, then positioned himself well for a saved shot by tallying off the rebound attempt to tie the contest at four.
In six games played this season, Krupcyznski has totaled five points (three goals and two assists). In the season-opener against Western New England, he collected three points where he secured his first conference Rookie of the Week honors.
For Owls hockey, this was the third straight week in which a player has received league player or rookie recognition. The past two weeks, Raphael Seguin and Emile Pichette earned conference player of the week honors.
Westfield State finished the 2025 slate with an 11-4 overall record and sit in a tie for first place in the MASCAC standings with 12 points and 4-1 league mark. The Owls will be back in action on Friday, January 2 as they visit Western Connecticut State University for a 4:00 P.M. puck drop.
