Sylven Earns MASCAC Rookie of the Week (Again!)
For the second straight week, Westfield State first-year Nathan Sylven (Wrentham, Mass./King Phillip HS) has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference men’s track and field rookie of the week.

WESTFIELD, Mass. – For the second straight week, Westfield State first-year Nathan Sylven (Wrentham, Mass./King Phillip HS) has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference men's track and field rookie of the week.
Sylven turned in an all-New England performance in the steeplechase at the New England Division III Championship meet at Mount Holyoke College.
Sylven placed sixth in a personal best time of 9:36.66.
For Sylven it was the final race of the 2024 campaign. Select Owls athletes will compete at the New England All-Divisions Championship at Holy Cross University in Worcester this weekend.
