Men's Track Competes at Trinity Invitational

WESTFIELD, Mass. — Theo Yetman (Franklin, Mass.) and John Ware (Wilmington, Mass. )headline the Owls' top finishes Saturday at the Trinity Invitational Meet.
Ware took charge from the field sides of things as he finished in first in men's javelin throw with a distance of 59.24 meters, just off his season best. Daniel Shea (Longmeadow, Mass.) also captured second place for the Owls in the men long jump with a distance of 6.89m. Dylan Clark (Bellows Falls, Vt.) rounded out the top finishers for Westfield field events with a 13.63m shot put.
Yetman had two top 15 finishes today as he had a top finish in the men's 400m with a time of 50.41 and also finished 12th in the men's 200m with a time of 22.14 m. John Nekitopolous (West Springfield, Mass.) had the Owls other top-ten finish as he placed ninth in the men's 1500m with a time of 3:59.82.
The Owl men finished ninth among 12 scoring teams with 33.5 points. RPI won the team scoring with 187.
Next Friday, the men's track and field squad heads to Bridgewater State for the MASCAC outdoor championship meet that starts at 10:00 am.
