Men’s Track and Field Competes at Coast Guard
Michael Pelletier and Jordan Stallworth both logged second place performances for the Owls.
WESTFIELD, Mass. – Michael Pelletier (Wilbraham, Mass.) and Jordan Stallworth (Chicopee, Mass.) highlighted Westfield State men's track and field at the Coast Guard Winter Invite #2 from New London, Conn. on Friday evening.
Stallworth raced to a second-place mark in the 200, crossing the tape in 23.43 to gather eight points for the Owls. Pelletier also collected eight points in the long jump with a second-place finish at 6.57m with Daniel Shea (Longmeadow, Mass.) right behind in third place with a leap of 6.50m.
Other top five finishes came on the track with Drew Organ (Suffield, Conn.) setting a personal record time in the mile at 4:42.50, earning fifth place. Braedan Ramsey (Plainville, Conn.) was also fifth in the 3000, checking in with a time of 9:53.29.
Devan Cerone (Southwick, Mass.) logged a fifth-place leap in the high jump, clearing the bar in 1.82m.
The Owls as a team totaled 49 points and placed fifth out of seven teams. Coast Guard won the meet with 135 points followed by Farmingdale State (120 points) then Eastern Connecticut State (68).
Westfield State will have two weeks off in preparation for the 2026 MASCAC Indoor Championships which will be held on Sunday, February 15 at Wheaton College in Norton, Mass. beginning at 5:00 P.M.
