Bio
Bobby White joined the Owls track and field coaching staff in 2023. Specializing in the throwing events, White came to Westfield after coaching stints at Agawam High School, Ludlow High School and American International College.
The 2023-24 season was a strong one for the Owls under White’s tutelage. Bronwyn Pinsly won a MASCAC title in the discus throw and qualified for the DIII New England Championships. Shane Clark and Xavier Merkman also qualified for the same meet in the men’s discus.
White received a bachelor’s degree in communications from Worcester State in 2016. He was a captain on the track and field team for the Lancers, and was the 2015 MASCAC champion in the men’s hammer throw. He was a Western Mass high school champion in the shot put in 2011 at Ludlow High School.
White is currently pursuing his master’s degree in school library and information ccience at Simmons University. He married his wife Frankie in October 2024.
