Men’s Cross Country Finishes 18th at NCAA Regional Meet

WESTFIELD, Mass. – Junior Nate Sylven (Wrentham, Mass.) finished 56th overall as Westfield State men's cross country finished 18th in the 2025 Division III Mideast Regional meet hosted by St. Lawrence University in Canton, N.Y. on Saturday afternoon.
Sylven was the first Owls athlete to cross the tape, finishing with a time of 26:49.4 in a field consisting of 179 runners and 26 teams.
First-year Braedan Ramsey (Plainville, Conn.) finished within the top 100 in his first NCAA Mideast Regional, checking in with a time of 27:45.3 to place 94th overall. Another rookie runner followed for the Owls as Drew Organ (Suffield, Conn.) was the third Owl to complete the 8000-meter race, registering a time of 28:22.5.
The Owls last competed in the MASCAC Championship race from Stanley Park on November 1 with Sylven and Organ both earning all-conference honors for placing in the top ten.
RPI won the meet with 44 points, placing three of the top ten runners. Nathan Tassey of Roger Williams was the individual race winner, outpacing his next closest competitor by six seconds and posting a time of 25:05.5.
