Hannah Wodecki Named MASCAC Player of the Week
Wodecki batted .522 with seven doubles and seven RBI
WESTFIELD, Mass. – Westfield State University senior 3B Hannah Wodecki was selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference women's softball player of the week for the week ending on Sunday, March 15.
Wodecki powered the Owls to a 6-0 start to the season, as she batted .522 (12-23) with seven doubles, seven RBI, eight runs scored, and had .826 slugging percentage, .542 on-base percentage and 1.000 field percentage.
Wodecki had four multi hit games on the week, including 2-for-3 with two doubles, four RBI and a run scored in the 11-7 win over Pitt.-Bradford. She was 3-for-4 with three doubles and three runs scored in the Owls 7-2 win over SUNY-Potsdam, and went 4-for-5 with two doubles and two RBI in the 15-0 shutout of Alfred State.
Wodecki set the Owls single season hits record in each of her first two seasons as an Owl, with 60 in 2024 and 64 in 2025. She entered the season needing 32 hits to break the school's career record.
With the seven doubles this season, Wodecki has 31 in her career, one short of the school record
As of Tuesday morning Westfield State had a record of 9-0 on their spring trip to Naples, Fla.
