Hadla Earns Spot on NEWBA Weekly Honor Roll
Hadla was picked to the second team after she averaged 19 points, three rebounds and 2.5 steals
WESTFIELD, Mass. – Westfield State University grad student guard Olivia Hadla (Westfield, Mass./Westfield HS) has been named to the New England Women's Basketball Association's weekly honor roll for the week ending February 9, 2025.
Hadla was picked to the second team after she averaged 19 points, three rebounds and 2.5 steals while shooting 56 percent from the floor, and 44 percent from three point range in a 2-0 week for the Owls.
She powered the Owls to a pair of wins, 96-82 over Wesleyan and 83-61 over Worcester State. Hadla Popped for 24 points on 8-14 shooting and 2-4 downtown with three rebounds and three steals against Wesleyan, and added 14 points on 6-11 shooting in the win over Worcester State.
It's the second time this season that Hadla has been recognized by NEWBA.
For the season, Hadla ranks second on the team in scoring at 14.6 points per game and averages 3.7 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game.
In her four year career at Westfield, Hadla has accumulated 1392 points, good for sixth on the Owls career scoring list, with 211 three pointers (third all time at Westfield) and 249 steals (sixth).
Hadla's Owls are 13-8 overall and 4-3 in conference play. Westfield State hosts Fitchburg State in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference game on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Woodward Center.
