Harvey Named MASCAC Player of the Week

WESTFIELD, Mass. – Westfield State senior Cassidy Harvey (Niskayuna, N.Y.) was named as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference women's lacrosse player of the week for the week ending April 16.
Harvey finished a two-game week with seven goals and two assists, helping the Owls to a pair of wins over Skidmore and Salem State. Harvey added five ground balls and three caused turnovers in the two games.
She led a balanced Owls' attack in a pair of wins, as she netted three goals and an assist in an 18-17 road win at Skidmore on Friday night, and backed that up with four goals and an assist, which included the 100th goal of her career in a 18-4 win over Salem State on Saturday.
Harvey is creeping up the Owls al-time scoring lists as she currently has totals of 101 goals (12th all-time at Westfield) and 34 assists (T-15th) for 135 points (11th). Her 49 career turnovers fourth seventh on the Owls' all-time list.
Westfield State is 8-5 overall this season and 3-0 in the MASCAC. The Owls are in action on Wednesday evening at league-co-leader Worcester State.
