DeMember Earns Conference Rookie of the Week Honors
DeMember was named the MASCAC Rookie of the Week after scoring the game’s opening goal at Bridgewater State over the weekend.
WESTFIELD, Mass. – Westfield State first-year midfielder Liv DeMember (West Boylston, Mass. / Algonquin Regional) was named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week after an impressive performance against Bridgewater State this weekend.
DeMember tallied her first collegiate goal in the first half, pushing the Owls out to a 1-0 lead which finished in a 1-1 road draw.
Making her fourth start of the season, the rookie midfielder will look to continue to make an impact in the scoring department for an Owls offense that is averaging 0.78 goals per game.
Westfield State, which is off to a solid 2-0-1 start in the MASCAC, will play three straight matches at home starting on Wednesday as the Owls host Western New England at 7:00 P.M. from Alumni Field in Westfield, Mass.
