Richter Named Little East Rookie of the Week

Westfield State sophomore swimmer Alexa Richter (Westfield, Mass.) was  named LEC Rookie Swimmer of the Week for the second time this season after posting a three top-two finishes in a dual meet against Smith on Saturday, Nov, 20 at the Ely Pool. She kicked off the beginning of the individual events in the 1,000-yard freestyle where she would finish comfortably in first place with a time of 11:33.63, and went on to place second in the 100 (56.93) and 500 (5:40.25) freestyle events.

Richter's time in the 100 is the best in the LEC this season, while her time in the 1,000 is second-best.

Richter and the Owls will be back in the pool on December 4 at the Bridgewater State Invitational meet.
