WESTFIELD, Mass. – Westfield State's women's swimming and diving team sits in fifth place in the team scoring after Day 1 of the Seven Sisters Invitational at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Mass.
The meet continues tomorrow.
Top placings for the Owls included Kara Banagan finishing third in 3-meter diving 248 points, Jackie Roccabruna placing fifth in the 200 freestyle in 2:09.34, and Alexa Richter's sixth in 50 backstroke in 30.38 seconds.
Westfield State coach Matt Nodell also noted personal-best performances from Liv Harkins in the 100 butterfly (by three seconds), Corinna Green dropping 22 seconds from her time in the 500 free, and Katie Colby setting a five-second best in the 500 free as well.
