WESTFIELD, Mass. – The Westfield State women's swimming and diving team earned College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) academic honors as Coach Matthew Nodell's team was named to the Scholar All-America Team for their efforts in the classroom during the spring semester.
To earn this prestigious honor, teams were required to achieve a grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 or higher during the Spring 2025 semester.
Twenty Owls student-athletes combined for a 3.59 team grade point average which was the third highest team GPA in the Little East Conference during the spring semester.
Westfield finished the 2024-25 season with a 4-6 record in dual meets and placed eighth at the Little East Conference Championships fueled by a pair of record-setting performances from senior Alexa Richter who set the school record in the 100 individual medley and 50 butterfly.
Richter, along with teammates Olivia Harkins, Molly Finnegan, and Kara Banagan were previously named to the College Sports Communicators All-Academic Team for individually achieving a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher.
