Owl Swimmers Strong at USJ Pentathlon

Westfield State placed three swimmers in the top eight as the Owls competed at the University of St. Joseph Pentathlon meet in West Hartford, Conn., on Friday evening.
Isabella Zeppa was the top finisher for Westfield State with a combined time of 3:10.27.
Swimmers compete in five events - the 50 butterfly, 50 backstroke 50 breaststroke, 50 freestyle and the 100 individual medley, with the combined times determining the athlete's finish.
Autumn Sutherland was seventh for the Owls in 3:13.04, with Emily Donatio eighth in 3:15.81.
A total of 53 athletes from from five schools competed in the meet.
Westfield gets back into action tomorrow, swimming in a double dual meet at Union College in Schenectady, N.Y. with Roberts Wesleyan College.
