First-year student Isabella Zeppa won a pair of events for Westfield State
First-year student Isabella Zeppa won a pair of events for Westfield State, as the Owls split in a double dual meet at Gordon College in Wenham, Mass. , falling to the host Scots, but topping Western New England.
The Owls bettered the Golden Bears 133-128, but fell to Gordon, 159.50 to 102.50.
Zeppa won the 50 backstroke in 29.40, and the 100 backstroke in 1:03.05.
Olivia Harkins took fourth in the 100 back in 1:09.12, and third in the 100 fly and the 200 IM events
Emily Donatio (35.44) and Chloe Chofay finished 2-3 in the 50 breaststroke. Donatio also had a second place finish in the 100 breast stroke in 1:15.81
Jackie Roccabruna placed third in the 50 free in 27.82 and also third in the 100 free.
Michelle Niewiadomska had a third-place result in the 50 butterfly with a time of 31.16.
The Owls will next compete at Smith next Friday, with a meet at Mount Holyoke on Saturday.
