Eliza Lee Named Athlete of the Week

Lee turned in a pair of strong performances at the Springfield College Season Opener on Saturday.

WESTFIELD, Mass. - Westfield State University senior Eliza Lee (Walpole, Mass.) was named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference women's field athlete of the week.

Lee turned in a pair of strong performances at the Springfield College Season Opener on Saturday, winning both the long jump and the triple jump events.

Lee topped the long jump with a leap of 5.31 meters, and took the top spot in the triple jump at 11.17 meters.

She ranks 12th in the nation on the national Division III performance list, and 27th in the long jump to this point in the season.

Lee and the Owls will next compete at the Dartmouth College Invitational on Dec. 13.
