Daly Earns MASCAC Rookie of the Week
Emma Daly named MASCAC Rookie of the Week for second time this season.
WESTFIELD, Mass. – For the second time this season, first-year athlete Emma Daly (Pittsfield, Mass.) was named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week after another strong performance this past weekend.
Daly recorded a New England Division III provisional mark in the 55m dash, converted to 60m time, finishing the event third with a time of 7.71 seconds. She was also seventh out of 24 athletes in the 200 in 27.94 seconds and added a fourth-place leap in the high jump at a mark of 1.43m at the Coast Guard Winter Invite #1.
Prior to the break, Daly secured her first conference rookie of the week honors by notching two personal records in the high jump and the 60m dash at the Dartmouth December Invite.
Daly and Westfield State will participate in the Massasoit Classic for their next meet on Saturday at Springfield College.
