O’Sullivan, Poplawski Earn MASCAC Honors

Westfield, Mass. – Westfield State cross country runners Amy O'Sullivan (Greenfield, Mass.) and Grace Poplawski (Rowe, Mass.) each received MASCAC honors this past weekend. O'Sullivan claimed Runner of the Week while Poplawski took the rookie of the week nomination.

O'Sullivan placed fourth out of the 179-runner field at the 25th annual James Earley Invitational meet at Stanley Park on Saturday, recording a time of 18:29.24. O'Sullivan was won five of the six runner of the week awards in the fall season.

Poplawski placed 72nd with a time of 20:45 to capture the rookie of the week. The Owls as a team placed seventh out of 23 scoring teams.

The women's cross country team will compete this upcoming Saturday at Connecticut College starting with the Caroline Grape '22 Memorial Blue Race at 12:00 P.M.
