WESTFIELD, Mass. - Senior QB Miles Foerster tossed a pair of first quarter touchdown passes to stake Westfield State University to a 13-0 lead, but UMass Dartmouth racked up more than 500 yards of total offense in rallying to a 33-13 win over the Owls on Saturday.
Westfield slips to 2-7 on the season and 2-6 in the MASCAC, while UMD is now 5-4 overall and 5-3 in MASCAC.
Foerster connected with senior WR Will Brewster for a 19-yard TD 1:48 into the game, then added a 56 yard connection to senior RB Curtis Dion for a 56-yard TD to end the quarter, with the Owls leading 13-0 after a missed extra point.
From there, the momentum all swung the Corsairs way. Connor McManus kicked a pair of short field goals to get UMD on the scoreboard, with the Owls leading 13-6 at the half.
In the second half, UMD QB JC Petrangelo tossed TD passes of 23, 30 and 18 yards before Luke Turco capped the scoring with a five-yard TD run.
Dion led the Owls with 100 yards from scrimmage on 44 yards rushing and 56 receiving. Andrew Lovell made 17 tackles and had an interception with a 24-yard return to lead the Owls defense.
Petrongolo completed 15 for 22 passes for 223 yards and threw TD's for the Corsairs. Jayden Francois caught five passes for 104 yards and a touchdown, while Mekhi Wilson an for 126 yards on 22 carries.
Westfield State will wrap up the 2025 campaign with a game at Fitchburg State next Saturday.
