Westfield State senior Shannon Roycroft (Barnstable, Mass.) scored the game-winner 4:12 into overtime as Westfield State snuck past Plymouth State University 3-2 in a Little East Conference (LEC) field hockey contest at Panther Field on Saturday afternoon.
Westfield State University sophomore Madison Ouellette (Uxbridge, Mass.) made her first collegiate goal count, netting the game winner as Westfield State topped league-leading Worcester State, 2-1 at Alumni Field on Tuesday evening.
After a day of missed opportunities, Westfield State field hockey cashed in late, as senior Cheryl Latona (Granby, Conn.) netted the game winning goal to lift the Owls to a 2-1 win over Rivier University in a non-conference game at Alumni Field on Tuesday afternoon.
