Brown Named Conference Rookie, Player of the Week

WESTFIELD, Mass. – Westfield State University men's soccer first-year midfielder Nick Brown (Southwick, Mass./Southwick-Tolland HS) earned the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference's player of the week and rookie of the week honors in his collegiate debut.
Brown tallied a pair of assists, including the game-winner, as the Owls rallied for a 2-1 win over Fisher College on opening night.
He added a pair of goals in a 4-3 overtime win at Suffolk University on Saturday to help the Owls to a 2-0 start for the season.
For the year, Brown leads the Owls with two goals and two assists for six points.
Westfield will next play at local rival Western New England University on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
