WESTFIELD, Mass. -- Nathan Sylven finished 16th to lead the way for Westfield State’s men’s cross country team at the 27th annual James Earley Invitational meet at Stanley Park on Saturday.
The meet consists of four races; men’s JV at 10:30 a.m. starts the day, followed by men’s varsity at 11:15 a.m., women’s varsity at noon, and women’s JV at 1:00 p.m.
First-year Nathan Sylven was the first man across the line for Westfield State, as he placed 17th at the Keene State invitational on Saturday.
The races were conducted a day late to take advantage of better weather as Hurricane Lee slid past New England off shore on Saturday.
