Women's Track in Action at Harvard, Smith
At Harvard, Shea Hamel placed seventh in the 5000 meters at the Harvard Invitational in a time of 18:38.62, setting an indoor best time
WESTFIELD., Mass. – Westfield State women's track and field team competed on Saturday with a split squad, with athletes competing at Harvard University and at the Mary Grinaker Invitational at Smith College.
At Harvard, Shea Hamel placed seventh in the 5000 meters at the Harvard Invitational in a time of 18:38.62, setting an indoor best time and set a provisional qualifying time for the NED3 meet while competing against Division I, II and III and open opponents.
Tealei Chandonnet took 24th overall and 10th in her heat against a field of 56 runners 10:56.15 in the 3000 meters, and Reese Stevens 14th in the 1000 meters.
Eliza Lee placed seventh in the triple jump 11.35m and 10th in the long jump at 5.31 meters in the championship final.
At Smith, Anjelina Lubarsky placed second in the 60 meters in 8.18, and fourth in the 200 meters 28.14.
Sam Panzieri was second in the mile in 5:36.98. Brooke Soucy placed third and Julianne Kelly fourth in the 5000 meters.
