Ten Owls Athletes Named to MASCAC Women’s Indoor All-Conference
Four Owls athletes won individual titles to go along with two team relay race winners.
WESTFIELD, Mass. – After winning the 2026 MASCAC Indoor Championship title, Westfield State women's track and field placed ten athletes on the indoor all-conference list with Eliza Lee (Walpole, Mass.), Reese Stevens (Agawam, Mass.), Shea Hamel (Longmeadow, Mass.), and Emily Ottomaniello (Agawam, Mass.) all securing individual event victories.
Lee earned all-conference recognition in two events, finishing first in both the long jump and the triple jump. She improved her mark in the long jump to 15th on the national indoor qualifying list with a leap of 5.67m, then logged a 10.79m mark in the triple jump and is currently 18th on the national qualifying list in that event.
Hamel crossed the tape first in the 1000 with a time of 3:20.72 to gather all-conference honors in the event.
Stevens was the top finisher in the 800, checking in with a time of 2:26.04 to earn a spot on the all-conference team.
Ottomaniello was the pole vault champion, clearing the bar at a height of 2.55 meters for ten points and all-conference placement.
Lee and Stevens were also part of conference-winning relay race teams with Lee joining Jailene Felix (Springfield, Mass.), Anjalina Lubarsky (Ludlow, Mass.), and Ava Lapa on the 4x200 team which posted a 1:52.02 time. Stevens teamed up with Molly Lenehan (Newington, Conn.), Brynne LeCours (Haverhill, Mass.), and Tealei Chandonnet (Dracut, Mass.) in the 4x800 relay, cruising to the top spot in a time of 10:35.74.
The Owls won the meet by a staggering 117 points over Bridgewater State which finished in second place.
