Women’s Cross Country Reign Supreme on All-Conference List

After winning their fourth consecutive MASCAC Championship, Westfield State women’s cross country dominated the league’s 2024 All-Conference list as eight of the ten spots went to Owls’ athletes after this past Saturday’s MASCAC Championship meet from Doyle Conservation Center in Leominster, Mass.

Westfield placed eight runners in the meet’s top 10, finishing with 20 points, 42 points better than runner up Bridgewater State.

Westfield State junior Shea Hamel and first-year Sophia Rebenciuc swept the conference weekly honors as Hamel was named the MASCAC Runner of the Week while Rebenciuc was tabbed the conference’s Rookie of the Week.

Owl Women Take Third Place at James Earley Invitational

Westfield finished with 99 points, behind just regionally ranked Williams (46) and Wesleyan (99).  Roger Williams University (108) and Salve Regina (143) rounded out the top five teams at the meet.
