Westfield State University athletics to induct 20 student-athletes to the Chi Alpha Sigma Honors Society for the 2022 season

WESTFIELD, Mass. – As part of National Student-Athlete Day, Westfield State University athletics is proud to announce 20 student-athletes who will be inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, an honors society that highlights student-athletes that excel on and off the field of competition. The 20 student-athlete honorees will be inducted into the sixth Westfield State Chi Alpha Sigma class, joining 149 previously named Owls student-athletes.

The National College Athlete Honor Society recognizes student-athletes of good character who have earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.4 or higher.

"We are proud of all of our student athletes that balance academics and athletics and we wish them a Happy Student Athlete Day!" said Westfield State Associate Director of Athletics Nancy Bals. "We especially want to thank our seniors and are extremely proud of the Chi Alpha Sigma inductees who have achieved excellence in the class room while competing for the Owls."

Each student-athlete will receive a Chi Alpha Sigma medal from the Athletics Department on May 2 during the senior athletics awards ceremony.
