For fans planning to attend Saturday's baseball and softball doubleheaders at Westfield State, please be advised that the University has issued the following travel advisory, please plan your arrival for the games accordingly.

-- On Saturday, May 4, the City of Westfield will hold its annual Run Westfield Flat Fast 5K. The race begins in our South Lot and will proceed down Western Avenue, temporarily closing access to campus from Westfield's downtown area. We expect to experience road closures between 12:30 and 2:00 pm.

As the weekend of May 4-5 can be a busy time for students who may be moving out of residence halls, we encourage you to plan ahead with anyone who may be coming to assist you. Similarly, if you are planning to attend athletic events scheduled to begin at 12:00, we encourage you to plan accordingly for your arrival and departure times.

Road traffic coming from the direction of downtown Westfield will not be able to pass while the race is on Western Avenue. If you are on campus, you will not be able to leave in that direction either. Western Avenue will reopen as soon as it is safe to do so.
